Agency Bill Service--- Professional Guarantee

Relying on its advanced inter-bank settlement system, specialized management model and rich experience, ICBC's agency bill operations have won high recognition from the market, established agent relations with a great many domestic joint-stock commercial banks and regional banks, and assured smooth access to funds for its bank clients.

I.  Agency Issuing of Bank Drafts
Banks without the qualification to issue bank drafts can be entrusted by ICBC to issue bank drafts of ICBC, which will be accepted and paid by the remittance agency of ICBC.

Our cooperative partners cover mainly regional financial institutions and foreign-funded banks, which, with ICBC's help, become able to issue bank drafts for their clients.

Supported by ICBC's credit and network, our cooperative partners can improve their services and create more convenience for their clients.

II. Agency Cashing of Bank Drafts
Our cooperative banks can entrust ICBC to cash the bank drafts issued by them.

Multiple Operation Models
1, Separate settlement
Branches of the principal bank at different places can choose their local ICBC branch as the settlement agent, and transfer the fund and the note register to it. After the agent payment bank of ICBC examines and cashes the bank draft, fund settlement is operated by the agent settlement bank and the drawer bank.

2, Centralized settlement
The principal bank can choose a remittance agency of ICBC to be the centralized agent settlement bank, and operates settlement of the bank draft with it through the specialized system. After agent payment banks of ICBC examine and cash the bank draft, fund settlement is all operated by the centralized agent settlement bank.

3, Modernized Payment System Settlement
The agent payment banks of ICBC, after receiving the bank drafts issued by the member banks of the remittance agency, operates settlement of the bank draft with the remittance agency through the modernized payment system.

III. Agency Bank Draft Settlement for Regional Banks
After the bank draft payable at sight issued by the drawer bank is examined and cashed by other agent payment banks than ICBC, if there does not exist any branch of the drawer bank at this place, ICBC can operate bank draft settlement on behalf of the drawer bank and the agent paying bank.

IV. Agency Inquiry of the Banker's Acceptance Bill
The principal bank can entrust ICBC to inquire about the banker's acceptance bill of a different bank, effectively facilitating the inquiry, and helping our cooperative banks improve their services.
