The Urban Finance Research Institute is a department for ICBC as a main channel for academic exchange between ICBC and other institutes. It is responsible for drawing bank-wide mid-to-long term development and strategic planning, providing analysis of national operation background and operation strategies, organizing researches on economy, financial theories and reform development, editing and publishing China Urban Finance and Finance Forum. The Institute is also responsible for daily management of China Urban Financial Society and ICBC Post-Doctoral Research Center, as well as compilation of ICBC History.
