To stay in focus with the international bank card market, ICBC is pleased to announce the upcoming Elite Club Account Chip Card to answer the need for greater accessibility and security of financial services. Elite Club Account Chip Card is a debit card with a chip which is used during transactions. Debit card with a security chip is more secure and offers accessibility. Later, ICBC will offer free services to help Elite Club Account customers to apply or upgrade to chip card during the specified period.

Elite Club Account Regulations ("Regulations") has been revised to cater for the services under chip card. New Regulations will be in force from September 28, 2009. The current Regulations will be void at the same time. At present, no collection on the annual fee and account management fee on Elite Club Account once the new Regulations enters into force.
