German Shares Lose 0.62 Pct Thursday
 

German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 79.65 points, or 0.62 percent, to close at 12,686.29 points.

German multinational software corporation SAP lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.87 percent, followed by tire specialist Continental and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer, which lost 2.26 percent and 1.53 percent respectively.

Deutsche Post, automotive manufacturer Daimler and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel were the top three winners -- rising 0.83 percent, 0.82 percent and 0.82 percent respectively.

SAP was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 392.94 million euros (456.24 million U.S. dollars).
