All ICBC Outlets in Ya'an Re-open Today
 

At 9:30am on April 21, seventeen outlets under ICBC Sichuan Ya'an Branch were re-open, all financial services are available without much change after the earthquake.

When the earthquake broke out on April 20, ICBC Hanyuan Sub-branch and Shimian County Sub-branch which were not badly hit remained open. Other outlets were re-open after checking that they were safe. On April 20, 14 out of the 17 outlets under ICBC Sichuan Ya'an Branch were open to business again, only Banking Office of Lushan County Sub-branch (which is in the epicenter), Mingshan County Sub-branch and Tianquan County Sub-branch were closed due to power interruption and communication failure. The three outlets re-open at 9:30 am on April 21 after electricity and communication lines were restored.

In the epicenter of the earthquake Lushan County, cash service at the Banking Office of Lushan County Sub-branch was disrupted after the quake on April 20. To ensure access to financial services for customers, ICBC started UPS power and immediately checked the communication lines, cash and devices in the self-banking kiosk at Dongfeng Road. By 24:00 on April 20, 138 transactions totaling RMB 133,500 have been processed by three ATMs at Dongfeng Road, ICBC Lushan County Sub-branch after the earthquake. At the same time, ICBC Ya'an Branch provided round-the-clock financial services to victims of earthquake through self-service banking and self-service devices. On April 20, customers in quake-stricken area have drawn emergency cash at ICBC Ya’an Branch's self-service devices – 7,778 cash deposits/withdrawals to a sum of RMB 11,369,700, 175 transfers of RMB 980,000 and 5,974 other transactions including enquiries.

ICBC outlets in the affected area are providing necessary financial services for the relief work after opening to business again. "Green Channel" is opened to army and relief units for disbursement of funds and cash withdrawal.
