ICBC Delegation Attended ABAC Conference and APEC CEO Summit Held in Pusan, Republic of Korea
 

Recently, ICBC delegation arrived at Republic of Korea to attend the Fourth Meeting of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) and APEC CEO Summit. During the conference, ICBC delegation held talks and discussions with leaders from government, industrial and commercial sectors from APEC member economic entities on important issues in politic, economic and development in APEC region. ICBC delegation also made close contacts with corporate leaders of renowned companies from different countries and regions for further understanding and development.

According to the conference schedule, Ms. Wang Lili, vice president of ICBC, was the dialogue coordinator for Chairman Hu Jintao when attending dialogue seminar between ABAC delegates and Leaders from APEC economic entities. She also accompanied Chairman Hu Jintao and leaders from Canada, Malaysia,Republic of Korea and Brunei to participate in the Dialogue in the Fourth Group. Dialogues were held with industrial and commercial representatives from Canada, Malaysia, Brunei, Chili, Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and China Taipei. Discussions were covered many topics such as WTO Doha round of negotiations, Bogar target medium-term review, trade facilitation, Asia Pacific Free Trade Zone, regional cooperation in confronting avian influenza.

During APEC conference, ICBC delegation also took special exchanges with China and Korea companies such as Samsung Electronics, Korea Air, CNOOC and China Unicom. Ms. Wang Lili, vice president of ICBC, met with high management teams from Pusan Bank, Korea-Asia Finance Shareholding Company and Samsung Products Corporation. She made a presentation on the progress of ICBC shareholding restructuring and held deep talks and discussions on China economic development and business cooperation.
