ICBC will donate RMB 15 million to support the earthquake relief work in Sichuan's Ya'an city and for the victims to rebuild their homes.
After the Lushan county of Ya'an city in Sichuan Province was hit by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake on April 20, ICBC immediately took action to provide emergency financial services for the relief. On April 21 at 9:30am, seventeen outlets under ICBC Sichuan Ya'an Branch were all re-open, and all financial services are available. After the earthquake, ICBC in the first instance approached local army, financial department involved in the relief work and other industries or companies (electricity, telecommunication, highway) which have been badly hit by the earthquake, and made all preparation to provide emergency financial services to ensure disbursement of relief funds and cash withdrawal.
ICBC also took the following measures to better serve the customers and support the relief work in quake-stricken area.I. If the situation permits, all outlets in the affected areas are open and self-service devices are available with sufficient supply of cash. II. Depending on the situation there, provide emergency financial services to customers and those who involved in earthquake relief work, including emergency loss reporting, cash advance without card and card replacement. III. Allow credit card holders and loan customers in the quake-hit area to delay their repayments if they cannot repay on time. IV. No banking charges for holders of ICBC bank card issued in other cities to draw cash in the affected area.
ICBC opens "Green Channel" for donations to the earthquake victims. Donations through ICBC Internet Banking and Mobile Banking are credited into charity organizations in real-time, no banking charges. "Green Channel for Donations to Earthquake Victims" is opened at ICBC outlets. Priority is given to customers to send donation and no banking fee is charged.
