As related, the ICBC "Baby Growth Card Cup" National Children's Painting Competition was launched in collaboration with "www.ccppg.com.cn" recently. With a focus on the theme of "Happy Growth, Flying Dreams", the competition was open to all the Chinese children under 16 to participate.
Young entrants can collect the recycled art paper for the competition at the local ICBC outlets, designated Children's Palace or secondary/primary schools. For entrants who cannot collect the art paper (420mm*297mm) can download the application form at the official websites of the event (ICBC: www.icbc.com.cn, China Children's Press & Publication Group: www.ccppg.com.cn). Complete the form and paste it at the lower right corner on the back of the painting. No restriction on the type of paintings or drawings. Deadline is September 30, 2010. Four prizes of gold, silver, bronze and commemorative will be awarded to the winners. The organizers will invite the famous children's art experts in the country to select the winners, who will receive prizes worth up to RMB 1000. Meanwhile, some of the good paintings may have the opportunity to be selected as the card design for ICBC "Baby Growth Card" and issued nationwide.
According to ICBC spokesperson, "Baby Growth Card" is the ICBC card specially designed for the youngsters and children. One set of card comprises of "Baby Card + Daddy Card + Mammy Card" and covers the services as accumulation of Grow Fund, children's Return Love. No inter-city settlement fee is collected for the transfer between Baby Card and Daddy Card / Mammy Card. Apart from this, cardholders are entitled to the value-added services provided by ICBC. An example is the "Pacific Happy Child Investment Plan", an insurance product especially for the young. Included in the plan are: appointment with pediatrician, health SMS, domestic and overseas emergency assistance services, and free accident insurance for the kids holding the Baby Growth Card.
The ICBC spokesperson said that ICBC always concerns the health and growing up of the Chinese children. The painting competition launched this time is an ICBC fruitful attempt to organically combine the culture and education with the financial services for the young. ICBC wishes to provide a platform for the Chinese children to display their talent, imagination and creativity under the theme of "Flying Dreams". The other theme of "Happy Growth" aims to attract the whole family of the young entrants to participate in the competition. Show the love of the family and the society to the children, educate the children to be responsible to the society and have a thankful heart. Meanwhile, the painting competition is only one of the events under the ICBC "Baby Growth Card", which is used as a vehicle for ICBC to launch later more innovative services related to the study, living, education, medical treatment and health of a child.
