Earlier, Securities Times announced the "2009 Top 100 By Market Capitalization". ICBC is one of the "Top 100 Listed Companies by Market Capitalization" and conferred "Most Socially Responsible Listed Company". The selection process included the scoring on the nominated companies were by their financials and corporate governance, the voting from the public and institutions and final judging by a panel of experts. This is the third year in succession after 2007 and 2008 that ICBC has been conferred with such honors.

The Awards recognize and honor publicly traded companies for their excellence in financials and governance, while continuously generating value to shareholders by the first-class management team, brand and strategy. Wining the awards for three years in a row bears testimony to ICBC's recent years of endeavor to create value, promote brand recognition and commitment to social responsibility.
