November 8 - at the "Harmonious China" award ceremony and the 3rd anniversary of Chinese Federation for Corporate Social Responsibility (CFCSR) celebration held in Shanghai, ICBC won the "Most Harmoniously Competitive Listed Company of China" award and was included in the CFCSR 50 Index. The event is jointly organized by CFCSR and China Enterprise Development Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

The "Most Harmoniously Competitive Listed Company of China" award is presented to Chinese listed companies who have outstanding contribution in building a harmonious society in the home country. The winner is chosen from more than 100 public companies by the China Enterprise Development Institute, based on the "Harmonious Competitiveness Assessment Indices". Members of the judging panel come from the research institutions, government bodies, NGOs and the media that reflect expectations of various stakeholders on Chinese enterprises.

The CFCSR 50 Index refers to the Chinese Federation for Corporate Social Responsibility Listed Company Sustainability Index. It is an investment index that reflects the corporate social responsibility of a listed company. This is the first time that CFCSR and the China Enterprise Development Institute launched the index at the ceremony. The components of the CFCSR 50 Index are 50 listed companies selected from those of the Shanghai-Shenzhen 300 Index who have best performance in corporate social responsibility. It is a business sustainability index with distinct Chinese characteristics.
