ICBC Actively Supports Chinese Enterprises to Explore French Market
 

On the morning of July 2 (French time), with the witness of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, ICBC signed in China-French Business Summit two strategic cooperation agreements with Louvre Hotels Group and Toulouse Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Toulouse Airport respectively with a total amount of EUR 3.5 billion.

According to the agreements, ICBC will carry out an overall and multi-level strategic cooperation with Louvre Hotels Group and Toulouse Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Toulouse Airport in terms of two-way cross-border capital pool, investment fund raising, global cash management, cross-border trade settlement, among others.

Both acquisition of Louvre Hotels and privatization of Toulouse Airport were regarded as the successful cases of Chinese enterprises to "go global" for overseas mergers and acquisitions in 2015. Acquisition of Louvre Hotels Group by Shanghai Jinjiang International Hotels Group with EUR 1.37 billion represents the largest single amount of China-France M & A transaction so far this year.
