ICBC won the “Best Board” award again for its outstanding performance in corporate governance in the 12th “Golden Round Table Award” of Board of Directors of China’s Listed Companies sponsored by the Directors & Boards magazine, which is the fourth time ICBC granted the award.

The selection of this year’s winner of “Golden Round Table Award” is based on the corporate appraisal indicator system of Board of Directors. More than 2,700 listed companies are tracked and studied, with the award given to the one with highest marks after seeking opinions of provincial and municipal associations of listed companies and collecting online votes from small and medium investors. In this year’s selection, ICBC won the unanimous praise from the selection committee and investors in terms of corporate governance mechanism development, operation of Board of Directors and secretarial work of the Board of Directors.

In recent years, ICBC has continued to strengthen corporate governance, optimize governance structure of Board of Directors and establish or improve the basic systems and operational mechanisms of corporate governance to play out the role of special committees of the Board of Directors, enhance directors’ ability to perform their duties and the strategic decision-making competence of Board of Directors, which has supported bank-wide transformation and upgrading.
