ICBC Donates RMB5 Million to Tibet's Earthquake-stricken Areas
 

ICBC has decided to donate RMB 5 million to Tibet's earthquake-stricken areas to help fight against the disaster and rebuild homes.

An 8.1-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on April 25. Zhikatsé and other areas in Tibet were affected by the earthquake and suffered human and property losses. ICBC instantly initiated the emergency financial service mechanism after the earthquake and make the best effort to provide financial services needed to fight the disaster.

Moreover, ICBC adopted a variety of measures based on local conditions to better serve customers in the earthquake-stricken areas and support the fight against the disaster. First, ICBC actively processed the transfer and settlement of disaster relief funds to ensure the funds are rapidly, efficiently and accurately transferred and withdrawn. Second, ICBC contacted the armies, armed police and other organs that participated in disaster relief to know their cash needs and responded to the urgent funding needs in the rescue. Third, ICBC kept open the green channel of making donations to the earthquake-stricken areas. Donations made to charity institutions through ICBC's outlets, online banking and mobile banking channels will be credited to the account in real time and free of charge. Fourth, ICBC strengthened the allocation of credit resources to Tibet to support the reconstruction of the earthquake-stricken areas.
