ICBC has recently launched mobile payment for Beijing Metro ticket, allowing passengers to access the metro with mobile phone. Passengers can not only save the time of line-up, but also get the first ticket for free and following tickets on various discounts.

To use the function of mobile payment for Beijing Metro ticket, passengers should download and register for the mobile APP Yitongxing before binding with the ICBC card. Passengers can access the metro by scanning the mobile QR code or buying ticket online and fetching offline.

To scan the mobile QR code, passengers only need to select “Scan to enter/leave the station in the Yitongxing mobile APP to generate dynamic QR code, scan the code to get through the gate. The system will collect the toll directly from the account. The function requires no prepayment and applies to all smart phones. It has already been launched in the Airport Line of Beijing metro and passengers are expected to take all lines of Beijing metro by using the ICBC card and mobile APP code.

To buy ticket online and fetch offline, passengers need to set the start station and destination on Yitongxing APP, attach the ICBC card, complete payment and paper ticket on the metro network ticket-vending machine (FAM). At present, the approach is available in four stations of Airport Line of Beijing metro and 20 key stations including Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing Railway Station, Wangfujing and Xidan.

An official of ICBC Bank Card Department said to provide passengers holding ICBC card with more fast, convenient and favorable payment service, from now to October 31, passengers who have downloaded Yitongxing APP and linked their ICBC card to pay for metro ticket can get the first ticket for free and following tickets on various discounts. Each person can enjoy the benefit for up to two tickets with the discount  up to 50% off.
