Euromoney, a British magazine, published the result of Awards for Excellence 2015 on the evening of July 9 (London time). ICBC, named as the "Best Emerging Markets Bank", became the first Asian commercial bank winning the Award for Excellence by Euromoney.

In addition, Chairman Jiang Jianqing of ICBC was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution to Global Financial Services", an award presented only twice so far with the previous one given to Josef Ackerman, chairman of Deutsche Bank, nearly 10 years ago. Chairman Jiang was honored by the jury for leading ICBC to complete the historic leap in operation and development, establishing ICBC as the leading bank in China's market, which takes the lead in multiple business indicators among the global banks and other financial institutions, and becomes a multinational financial group covering 42 countries and territories in the world and offering comprehensive financial services.

Euromoney has carried out 24 sessions of Awards for excellence in a row, and selected the "best banks" in the layer of world, emerging markets, continent and country each year. Since the magazine began to conduct the Awards in China in 2000, ICBC has been named as the "Best Bank of China" for seven times.
