ICBC Rolls out One-click Payment for Online Shopping
 

ICBC has recently rolled out One-click Payment function in mobile banking, which further enhanced customer experience in payment, as customers can pay only by inputting pre-set static password in mobile banking terminal without inputting mobile phone number, account or verification code when spending with the Bank’s quick payment instrument "ICBC e-Payment".

One-click Payment is a function in ICBC mobile banking terminal and an improved quick payment function of "ICBC e-Payment", which is more convenient and secure than general quick payment instrument. First, it has a simple application procedures Customers can register for One-click Payment by logging in to "ICBC e-Payment" through ICBC mobile banking terminal, selecting any affiliated bank card, binding the card with registered mobile phone number and mobile phone and setting a 6-digit payment password. Second, it is convenient. When shopping online and paying bills with mobile banking, customers can click "Confirm Payment" on the order page to go to ICBC mobile banking terminal and input payment password for one-click payment. The subsequent transfer and remittance can also realize one-click payment through mobile banking. In addition, for online mall merchants that can generate QR codes for orders, customers can access ICBC mobile banking terminal by scanning QR code with mobile phone and then input payment password to make the payment. Third, it is safe. One-click Payment shares the same payment limit with "ICBC e-Payment" and features a special security mode. In case of loss of mobile phone, three times of incorrect password input would trigger One-click Payment to release its binding relationship with bank card. The payment can only be enabled after customer re-bind mobile phone, which makes the payment safe and convenient. Currently, customers can use One-click Payment to purchase air ticket and top up mobile phone through "ICBC Mobile Life" in ICBC mobile banking. Afterwards, this function will be expanded to all merchants registering for "ICBC e-Payment" collection service.

According to an ICBC official, as at the end of the first quarter this year, ICBC had over 140 million mobile banking customers, representing a year-on-year increase of 26%. Its "ICBC e-Payment" users exceeded 45 million, with the transaction volume increasing 2.7 times compared with the same period of the previous year. ICBC mobile banking has covered most of the non-cash financial services and also supported unique services such as withdrawal reservation, outlet queuing, We Chat Shake, automatic cash sweep, mobile phone top up, utility bill payment, traffic fine payment and featured wealth management.
