Recently, ICBC's Botswana Export Credit Project snapped three international awards, namely "Africa Power Deal of Year 2009" from Project Finance, "Africa Power Deal of Year 2009" from Project Finance International and "Arranger of Year 2009" from Africa Investor.

Project Finance Magazine is EuroMoney Publications' flagship international infrastructure finance title. It publishes in 150 countries and is one of the most respected organizations in the field; Project Finance International reports on the project financing activities around the world; Africa Investor covers specially the African market on research and project advisory services.

Over the past few years, ICBC has provided great financial support to Chinese enterprises to "Go Global" through export credit service. The Bank scored notable victories when competing against many international firms for the position of the lead arranger in various export credit projects. The three international awards conferred on this Botswana Export Credit project plays significant importance for Chinese power companies and ICBC to establish reputation in international power market and Africa.
