On August 8, the Pre-Expo Supply-demand Meeting for the Technology and Equipment Exhibition Area of the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). For the prevention and containment of the COVID-19 epidemic, the participants in this event only included over 300 representatives of exhibitors and buyers, representatives of trade groups and trade organizations, and media workers. This event drew more than 60 exhibitors and over 100 buyers to discuss potential trade partnership.

This pre-expo meeting highlighted large mechanical equipment manufacturers. By building an open platform for domestic and foreign enterprises to post their demands and organizing online and offline cross-border matchmaking activities, ICBC facilitates the cooperation among enterprises in the fields of goods, services, technology, projects and capital, strives to provide enterprises with comprehensive cross-border services of “financing, intelligence and business integration”, constructs a smart eco-community of global enterprises, and helps to “stabilize foreign investment and foreign trade”. At this event, ICBC made debut of the “ICBC Cross-border Matchmaking Service Platform” for online discussion.

As the “Overseas Business Promotion Partner” of the CIIE, ICBC has upgraded its comprehensive financial services of “Smart ICBC Financial Services for CIIE” in all aspects. By building a financial service system “connecting the whole group, financing at home and abroad, streamlining the capital chain, exchanging domestic and foreign currencies, and offering multilingual services”, ICBC provides a full range of financial services to exhibitors and participants. In addition, during the 3rd China International Import Expo, ICBC will hold such three supporting events for the 3rd CIIE as the Sino-European Entrepreneurs Conference, the Financial Cooperation Forum, and the Belt & Road Matchmaking Fair. Since this year, ICBC has held a number of “Online Overseas Business Promotion” for Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, Asia and other regions, with the participation of nearly 1,000 overseas enterprises, actively expanding the influence of the CIIE among global customers.
