On September 22, 2017, ICBC Leasing, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ICBC, delivered an A320 aircraft to Eastern Airlines in Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone of Tianjin, which is the 1000th aircraft ushered in from the bonded zone since its establishment. Following the delivery, ICBC Leasing operated and managed more than 550 aircraft and delivered over 300 aircraft, with aircraft assets approaching RMB 110 billion.

Since introducing its first aircraft by bonded leasing in domestic special zones in cooperation with Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone of Tianjin, ICBC Leasing has been innovating in business development model, and completed a number of landmark leasing projects in China’s aircraft leasing sector, including bonded leasing, legal and tax leasing, joint leasing and asset trading, helping China’s aviation leasing industry  emerge in international market.

According to an official with ICBC Leasing, ICBC Leasing is committed to becoming a large and professional aircraft, vessel and equipment leasing company. After 10 years of development it has become the largest leasing company in China by assets. In the future, ICBC Leasing will stick to professional, market-based and international development, and leverage ICBC’s strength in brand, customer, network and technonolgy to boost transformation and upgrade of the real economy with its full-fledged financial leasing product and service system.
