ICBC is the only agent of Global Refund in China. Global Refund is an internationally famous tax refund organization. Sales tax paid while shopping overseas at any of 170,000 shops labeled with Global Refund TAX FREE SHOPPING in 21 countries can be refunded at ICBC banking outlet within the period of validity with tax rebate cheque stamped by customs of the country, your own ID certificate, passport and shopping receipt.

ICBC will handle the refund when you return to China without any difficulty arising out of the inconvenience of language or time.

☆Operation Guide
1.After shopping, you shall ask for a (Global Refund Cheque) and shopping receipt from the shop labeled with Global Refund TAX FREE SHOPPING.

2. When you leave the country, present the merchandize, shopping receipt and Global Refund Cheque at the customs. Request customs to stamp on your Global Refund Cheque (Note: No refund if not stamped!!).

3. After return to China, you can apply for tax rebate at designated ICBC banking outlet with original and copy of passport, Global Refund Cheque stamped by customs of the country and shopping receipt.

4. As to the applicants conforming to the requirements about refund, ICBC will return US dollars in cash according to the refunds listed in the refund cheque submitted or transfer refund to an ICBC account designated by applicants. 

☆Helpful Tips
1. Ratio of overseas sales tax refund, minimum refundable amount (total shopping amount of same customer at the same shop in one day) is different in different countries. Generally 15-20% of the merchandize price.

2. You (resident of China or any other country) consume at any shop labeled with Global Refund TAX FREE SHOPPING in Europe, you will get Global Refund Cheque and shopping receipt. Before you leave the last EU country, you shall have the refund cheque stamped by the customs. 

3. Regardless of the currencies used in overseas shopping, all refunds will be converted to US dollar at ICBC rate of the day and returned to the customer.

4. Global Refund Cheque in question shall be confirmed by Global Refund Company once again. After collecting the refund, ICBC will inform you to receive the refund at the original ICBC banking outlet or transfer the fund into an ICBC account designated by you.

5. Global Refund Cheque without customs stamp is invalid.

6. Please handle the business at ICBC one month before the refund cheque is expired.
