ICBC Named "Best Private Bank in China" by The Asian Banker

Earlier, ICBC has won the "Best Private Bank in China" from The Asian Banker "Excellence in China Financial Services" program for the Bank's unique private banking financial asset services and outstanding performance in financial service innovation. Winning the award is a confirmation of ICBC's domain expertise and strong brand influence in its private banking services.

"Asian Banker - Excellence in Retail Finance Service Awards" was instituted in 2002 on the premise that an outstanding institution in consumer banking, in Asia Pacific, Central Asia, Middle East and Europe, that demonstrates a sustainable franchise based on strong business processes. In 2011, the "Best Private Bank" award was introduced to the Awards program under "Products and Process Awards". A stringent four-month long evaluation process used a comprehensive methodology to determine the winners by business strategy planning, product offering innovation, service competitiveness, together with the interviews with industry veterans, high-net-worth customers and financial regulatory authorities. The award program is the most rigorous and prestigious award of its kind in the Asia Pacific's private banking segment.

In 2012, ICBC will continue moving forward its asset management business in and outside China through expansion and innovation with an aim to better align with the wealth management needs of private banking customers, said an executive with the Bank.
