ICBC (Europe) S.A. Participate in “Life Relay” Charity Marathon
March 16 to 17, 2013, ICBC (Europe) S.A.teamed up with the Chinese Embassy and China Huawei Luxembourg branch to participate in the eighth Luxembourg “Life Relay" activities.
"Life Relay”, organized by the Luxembourg Cancer Foundation, is one of the largest public charity events, in terms of its influential and participants, including almost all the embassies to Luxembourg and corporations here. The "Life Relay”event was held at National Sports Center of Luxembourg. All Relay teams will keep running for 24 hours at the venue to cheer for the anti-cancer hero. ICBC (Europe) S.A. sent a total of 17 athletes, all dressed in uniform clothing appearance. Other staff and their families also watched the game as cheerleaders. Throughout the race scene, Chinese national flags and ICBC’s flags were particularly noticeable.
Participating in the charity relay race event, not only strengthened our relation with embassy and local Chinese enterpries, but also showed our enterpreneurship, enthusiasm for life, puesuit for achievement, as well as our united and hard working spirit. Meanwhile, the involvement in community charity event also demonstrats ICBC’s corporate social responsibility in the process of our localization. It is a good opportunity to enhance the brand image of our bank in Luxembourg.

Chairman of ICBC (Europe) S.A. Awarded the Medal of Honor for Luxembourg
June 19, 2012, Ms Gao Ming, the chairman of ICBC (Europe) S.A.and general manager of the ICBC Luxembourg branch, was invited to attend the investiture ceremony for Luxembourg National Medal of Honor. Witnessed by the Chinese Ambassador Zeng Xianqi, Luxembourg Finance Minister Luc Frieden, on behalf of Grand Duke Henri of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, granted the "Order of Merit", the highest medal in Luxembourg to Ms Gao. Such Medal, nominated by the Prime Minister of Luxembourg Jean-Claude Juncker, unanimously approved by the Senate, and adopted by the Grand Duke Henri, was specifically granted in recognition of persons who have made outstanding contributions to economic, social, peace, culture, philanthropic cause in Luxembourg.
