| Circular on ICBC E-Banking Services - SMS Verification |
| I. SMS Verification is an ICBC service which adds security via SMS during transactions by Customer's USB-Shield, E-Banking Code Card. |
| II. Holders of USB-Shield and E-banking Code Card using mobile phones from the Mobile Operators partnered with ICBC (Currently China Mobile, China Unicom) are eligible to apply for the SMS Verification Service. |
| III. Customers must verify if Ref. and details of the SMS are consistent with the transaction currently in progress. Confirm the transaction again once verified without errors, or liable for all consequential losses if any errors occurred. |
| IV. ICBC is not liable for incomplete transactions and consequential losses of any kind arising out of force majeure or other reasons not because of ICBC (Ex: wrong mobile number submitted, mobile is closed, out of power, overdue, no signal, SMS delay/loss, out of the country , no SMS can be received). |
| V. Amendment and cancellation of SMS Verification can be completed in advance either at ICBC business office or via Internet Banking. |
| VI. ICBC reserves the right to upgrade or make adjustment on the rules of using SMS Verification as the service developed. Information will be announced via website bulletin or prompt note during transaction. Customers should follow the upgraded or amended functions and rules to use the service. |
