6 Excellent Service Brings in Warm Spring
ICBC Commending Conference for Sub-branches and Employees Providing Excellence Service, and "2010 Service Value Increasing Year" Launching Ceremony held in Beijing on December 15, 2009. The Conference was presided by Zhang Furong, vice-president of ICBC. Jiang Jianqing, chairman of ICBC, delivered an important speech, in which he affirmed the bank's big stride in service improvement and proposed specific requirements. It is the largest conference on bank’s service quality since the establishment of ICBC, which indicates that service improving will continue to be ICBC’s work focus in 2010.

Since it first launched in 2007, ICBC Innovation Salon has been closely linking to economic and financial hot spot issues home and abroad, and are warmly welcomed by headquarter staff. Being ready for opening to public, the 4th Innovation Salon in 2009 was held in the State Administration of Taxation, which marks its complete success in the first step into society. Li Xiaopeng, vice president of ICBC, delivered the keynote address on how to combat the financial crisis and strengthen the cooperation between the Bank and Taxation in the meeting.
22 Research on the Status Quo, Start Obstacles and Prospect of China's Consumption Conditions
China's consumption rate continued to decline, while savings and investment rates increased year by year. Compared to both the developed and emerging market economies, China's savings rate demonstrated a feature with "high level" and "high growth rate". The relatively low consumption rate attributes to multiple causes, such as slow income growth, thrifty tradition, inadequate social security, ever-widening income gap, etc, which make consumption demand increasing task asking for a systematic project.

50 Low-carbon Economy: China's Choice for Industrial Path
Three major driving forces raised the world-wide tide of low-carbon economy: Climate warming which threatens mankind’s survival, the bottleneck of "high-carbon economy" and the new economic growth engine needed by the post-crisis world. China's aim of constructing a resource-saving and environment-friendly society is consistent with the rising tide of low-carbon economy. Low-carbon economy includes several parts of the industrial chain, such as low-carbon energy, energy conservation and reduction of pollutant emissions, and carbon sequestration.
