The gold price in Hong Kong closed at 11,180 Hong Kong dollars per tael on Thursday, down 70 Hong Kong dollars from the previous trading day, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

The price is equivalent to 1,209.36 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, down 7.57 U.S. dollars at the exchange rate of 1 U.S. dollar against 7.76 Hong Kong dollars.
