FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, rose by 0.38 percent Friday, or 28.12 points, to 7,343.08 points.

Share price of BT Group increased by 3.71 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. BP, Paddy Power Betfair, Intertek Group and Carnival increased by 3.68 percent, 2.26 percent, 1.63 percent and 1.63 percent respectively.

Intu Properties led the top losers of the blue chips, with a share price drop of 1.67 percent, followed by British Land (1.53 percent), Hammerson (1.44 percent), SSE (1.38 percent) and Randgold Resources (1.30 percent).
