British Shares Dip Monday-March 6
 

British stocks edged down slightly on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down 0.33 percent, or 24.14 points, to close at 7,350.12 points.

British investment firm Standard Life jumped 5.68 percent, becoming the gainers of the blue chips.

Dixons Carphone, electrical and telecom retailer, gained 1.95 percent. Housebuilding company Taylor Wimpey rose 1.69 percent.

Glencore plc., a commodity trading and mining company, topped the losers of the blue chips by tumbling 3.47 percent.

Another mining firm Anglo American lost 2.71 percent. Royal Bank of Scotland Group dropped 2.59 percent.
