British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.15 percent, or 11.43 points, to close at 7,500.44 points.
London Stock Exchange Group soared 5.38 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. ConvaTec Group and Paddy Power Betfair increased by 3.02 percent and 2.99 percent, respectively.
The British private equity and venture capital company 3i Group was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.96 percent. The British Leisure and entertainment company Merlin Entertainments dropped 2.68 percent. Ashtead Group, a British industrial equipment rental company, fell 2.50 percent.
