British Stocks Down 0.32 Pct Monday
 

British stocks lost on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.32 percent, or 24.56 points, to close at 7,642.45 points.

Evraz PLC, a multinational vertically integrated steel making and mining company, soared 2.08 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Admiral Group and Direct Line Insurance Group PLC increased by 1.61 percent and 1.49 percent, respectively.

TUI AG, an Anglo-German travel and tourism company headquartered in Hanover, Germany, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.49 percent.

Paddy Power Betfair PLC, a bookmaking business created by the merger of Paddy Power and Betfair, dropped 1.86 percent. GVC Holdings PLC fell 1.78 percent.
