German Shares Close Flat Wednesday - Sept. 26
 

German stocks closed flat on Wednesday with the benchmark DAX index up 11.23 points, or 0.09 percent, to close at 12,385.89 points.

Energy group RWE won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.08 percent. European health care company Fresenius SE and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer rose by 1.55 percent and 1.20 percent respectively.

Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp lost the most among the blue chips, falling 2.10 percent. Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel and Deutsche Post went down by 1.93 percent and 1.62 percent respectively.

Chemical group BASF was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 296.01 million euros (347.42 million U.S. dollars).
