German Shares Lose 1.50 Pct Thursday
 

German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 190.72 points, or 1.50 percent, to close at 12,546.33 points.

Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens lost the most among the blue chips, down by 4.79 percent, followed by Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank, which lost 3.20 percent and 2.75 percent respectively.

European health care company Fresenius SE, pharmaceutical company Merck and renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical were the top three winners, rising 1.82 percent, 1.11 percent and 0.52 percent respectively.

Siemens was the most traded share of the day, with a turnover of 521.97 million euros (606.37 million U.S. dollars).
