Indian markets closed higher at two-year record Tuesday. Market continued to extend its gains from the previous session as investors reacted positively to ruling Bharatiya Janata Party's victory in state assembly elections.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 29,442.63, 496.40 points or 1.71 percent up compared to its previous close at 28,946.23.
