Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 3.75 points, or 0.12 percent, to close at 3,143.40.

A total of 2.07 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.19 billion Singapore dollars (838.81 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 291 to 187.

The STI index gained 13.8 points, or 0.44 percent, to close at 3,147.15 on Monday.
