Spanish shares gained on Thursday, with the benchmark index Ibex-35 up 1.5 percent to close at 9,998.40 points.
IAG, one of the world's largest airline groups, rose 3.92 percent, becoming the top winner of the blue chips.
Caixabank gained 3.87 percent. Another banking firm BBVA went up 3.75 percent.
Stainless steel manufacturer Acerinox lost 1.53 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Steel producer ArcelorMittal dropped 1.39 percent. Energy firm Repsol went down 1.16 percent.
