China became the main export destination of Argentine soya products in 2010, Argentina's National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC) said on Friday.
China was the major market of soya beans last year, taking 83 percent of the soya exports valued at about 4.168 billion U.S. dollars, INDEC said.
Oil was also exported mainly to China in 2010, followed by India and Egypt, INDEC added.
Last year, Argentina's 27 sectors accounted for 80.1 percent of the country's total exports, with the largest export sectors being soya products, oil and gas, corn products and gold.
Soya beans topped the list of exports, earning 17.317 billion dollars, up 33.3 percent over 2009.
In 2010, Argentina reaped 68.164 billion dollars from its entire exports, and 56.443 billion dollars from imports.
