Japan's Industrial Production Falls 10% in January From December

Japan's industrial output saw an unprecedented fall of 10.0 percent in January from the previous month, announced the government Friday.

The fall came as Japanese companies have slashed their production amid the world economic downturn.

The figure is expected to continue to drop in February but to increase in March, the government said.
