ICBC Beijing Branch Signs "Bank-Hospital" Partnership Agreement with Guang'anmen Hospital, CACMS

Earlier, ICBC Beijing Branch signed "Bank-Hospital" partnership agreement with the Guang'anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences ("Guang'anmen Hospital"). The conclusion of "Bank-Hospital" partnership agreement paves the way for both sides to go one step further in the cooperation between bank and hospital. The "Bank-Hospital" cooperation model is not only a response to the strategic deployment of Beijing Municipal Health Bureau in deepening medical reform, but also a necessity for modern hospitals to computerize their operation.

After the signing of the partnership agreement, the "Bank-Hospital One-Card Pass" project under the agreement will be launched soon. This project will enable medical organizations to treat patients faster, providing professional medical services for more patients under limited resources. Moreover, the project is a good solution to the current thorny issue of "Long waiting time, long check-up time, long queuing time for collecting medicine, but short time seeing the doctor". Patients will have a better experience since a lot of time is saved to register, pay fees and wait for medical treatment. Besides, the project also helps the hospital establish comprehensive internal information system and set up the unique modern medical service management system.

During the process, Guang'anmen Hospital follows the State Council's Opinions on the Support to the Development of Chinese Medicine to improve the services to patients from a broader perspective through strong commitment, scientific management. Guang'anmen Hospital announces to leverage ICBC's IT platform to launch the "Bank-Hospital One-Card Pass" service for patients to make medical appointments and pay the medical fees immediately during treatment. Under the new situation, this is a new measure to give patients convenient access to see doctors. Guang'anmen Hospital can change the conventional service model and offer electronic medical services online to the public instead, bringing more convenience to patients through comprehensive services. The successful conclusion of the agreement has significant impact and will serve as a good reference for the hospitals under China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences on their medical reforms.

Once the "Bank-Hospital One-Card Pass" project (Phase I) is open to public, the priority is to offer services for patients not under the medical insurance scheme to make medical appointments and settle medical bills, said an executive with the ICBC Beijing Branch. At the ICBC self-service devices, patients can use their ICBC bank cards to enroll/disenroll or make medical appointments. Appointment fee is collected in real-time. Patients can use their ICBC bank cards to see doctors on the date specified. Moreover, the new service allows patients not under the medical insurance scheme to make medical appointments at the Guang'anmen Hospital's self-service devices on the day seeing doctors. Fee is collected in real-time. In this way, patients no longer need to queue up for a long time to make medical appointments. Besides, patients can use the bank cards making medical appointments to pay the fees for medical treatment which is deducted in real-time. No need to queue up at different places to pay the fees. In phase II, ICBC and Guang'anmen Hospital will launch the service for patients under medical insurance scheme to pay fees immediately during medical treatment, covering patients under the medical insurance scheme and patients at own expenses. Unique medical services are also provided for patients to fully experience the convenient medical and financial services under the "Bank-Hospital" cooperation model.

The next move of ICBC Beijing Branch, according to an executive with the Branch, is to promote the "Bank-Hospital One-Card Pass" services with advanced medical treatment and settlement options. More services and functions will be improved with an aim to bring more convenience for patients to see doctors.
