The 21st Century Business Herald in collaboration with 21st Century Business Review held the "2010 China Corporate Citizenship Forum & Seventh Annual China's Best Corporate Citizen Award Ceremony", in Beijing on December 3. ICBC took the "2010 Best Corporate Citizen in China" for the third year running.

The "China Best Corporate Citizen" run by 21 Century Business News Group is the earliest "Corporate Citizen" awards programme in the country, also one of China's foremost CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) awards. This year's competition lasted for nearly half a year, covering all the enterprises and institutions in the Mainland China. The panel of judges took an "objective and detailed" approach to rigorously shortlist the 30 finalists under this year's theme "Sharing Growth". A number of factors were considered in assessing the nominated companies. These included the benefits to shareholders, fairness towards employees, serving the customers, environmental responsibility, resources protection, accountability to the partners and local communities. ICBC soared above the competition and won the Award.
