Dollar Climbs to Mid-108 Yen Zone on Easing Geopolitical Concerns-Sep 11
 

The U.S. dollar rose to the mid-108 yen zone Monday in Tokyo on easing geopolitical concerns after the Democratic People's Republic of Korea celebrated the 69th anniversary of its founding.

At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar changed hands at 108.42-43 yen compared with 107.80-90 yen in New York and 107.74-75 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday. The dollar fluctuated between 108.16 yen and 108.61 yen during the day.

The euro was quoted at 1.2013-2014 dollars and 130.25-29 yen against 1.2032-2042 dollars and 129.66-76 yen in New York and 1.2048-2050 dollars and 129.81-85 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
