Belarus Forecasts 3.4 pct Economy Growth in 2018
 

Belarusian government predicts the country's economic growth by 3.4 percent in 2018, the press service of the government said on Wednesday.

The government predicts the growth of labor productivity will be 2.8 percent in 2018, with export of goods and services expected to grow by 6 percent. With a total foreign trade turnover of almost 70 billion U.S. dollars, the balance is projected to be close to zero.

The statement said 1.45 billion U.S. dollars will be planned for foreign direct investments next year. The average annual inflation will not exceed 7.4 percent. The real disposable income of the population is expected to increase by 3.2 percent.

Belarus' GDP grew by 1.1 percent in the first seven months of 2017. The government expects the GDP growth in 2017 will be 1.7 percent.

In 2016, Belarus' GDP fell 2.6 percent.
