ICBC Deepens Strategic Cooperation with China Southern Airlines
 

On June 17, 2015, ICBC and China Southern Airlines signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement in Beijing. The two sides will develop more extensive and in-depth cooperation and deepen long-term strategic partnership. Chairman Jiang Jianqing and Vice President Zheng Wanchun of ICBC, Party Secretary Tan Wangeng and Deputy Chief Accountant Wang Jianjun of China Southern Airlines attended the meeting and the signing ceremony.

ICBC will provide China Southern Airlines and its member entities with all-inclusive financial services including financing, bond investment, leasing and inter-bank lending and maximize the use of financial means to help the company realize its strategic vision. China Southern Airlines will capitalize on ICBC's global business network to actively participate in China's "One Belt and One Road" strategy, push forward internationalization, improve its international and domestic airlines network structure and continue to strengthen its core competitiveness to achieve win-win results.

ICBC is the largest commercial bank in the world by assets, capital and market capitalization and tops the Forbes Global 2000 companies for three consecutive years. China Southern Airlines is the largest airlines group in China by the number of transport aircrafts, airline network and annual passenger transport. The company's passenger transport topped 100 million people in 2014, ranking the first in Asia and the third in the world.
