"From this year, the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee will set up the effort to promote the brand of Guangzhou Asian Games and the image of host city and host country to the whole country, Asia and the whole world," Luo Jingjun, the Director of Publicity Department of Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, said recently.
Luo Jingjun said, the Asian Games Organizing Committee will heavily launch Asian Games public-interest ads in the major cities, major airports, railway passenger trains, passenger waterways in China; carry out large-scale promotional campaign of "Footstep of Asian Games" in ten major Chinese cities simultaneously; publish and promote the "Cartoon Asian Games" cartoon book and post cards in the whole country to expand the influence of Guangzhou Asian Games in China.
In the area of overseas publicity, Luo Jingjun introduced that the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee has held special exhibitions or press conferences in nearly 20 countries and regions. This year, the organizing committee will hold a series of special exhibition and various promotional events in 9 Asian countries and the United States, and will continue to carry out the "Asian Road" large-scale promotional campaign series.
The Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee will basically finish establishing the Asian Games logo system and Asian Games image landscape design in the first half of this year and start to call for the visual image elements design for the Asian Para Games. In Guangzhou and the co-host cities in the Pearl River Delta, Asian Games knowledge education with the theme of "How much do you know about the Asian Games"will be widely carried out, and articles on "Looking forward to 2010, Illustrate the Asian Games in my mind" will be called for from elementary school and middle school students.
